The Fort McMurray Shotokan Karate Association was formed in 1986, and operates as a non-profit organization in accordance with the Canadian Societes Act. Our purpose is to remain dedicated to teaching Traditional Shotokan Karate, for those serious about Karate training. We are a completely volunteer run club. Our instructors teach because of their dedication to karate.
If you have questions about Shotokan Karate or training at our club, please visit our Dojo to watch a class, talk to students or instructors, or try a class on us. We train hard, so be prepared for a demanding disiplined class.
Our Dojo (training hall) is located at 10216 Centennial Drive, downtown Fort McMurray, Alberta. Our Dojo is only open at class times, so come down about 15 minutes before class.
Our phone number is 780-791-3505. Please leave a message and we will call you back during class times. It is best just to drop by.
We accept students as young as 7 years old.
Our schedule changes from time to time, based on student attendance and instructor availability. Keep in touch at the Dojo for any changes.
