The Fort McMurray Shotokan Karate Association was formed in 1986, and operates as a non-profit organization in accordance with the Canadian Societes Act.  Our purpose is to remain dedicated to teaching Traditional Shotokan Karate, for those serious about Karate training.  We are a completely volunteer run club.  Our instructors teach because of their dedication to karate.

If you have questions  about Shotokan Karate or training at our club, please visit our Dojo to watch a class, talk to students or instructors.  We train hard, so be prepared for a demanding disiplined class.  If you wonder why we train hard, with passion, diligence, and perseverence, read the book Outliers - The Story of Success.

We train at the Holy Trinity High School and Community Center.  The address is 230 Powder Drive, Timberlea, Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Please drop by class to talk to the Instructors or students about the club.  Instructors are available to chat before and after class.

Our mailing address is; Box 25002, Signal Road PO, Fort McMurray, Alberta, T9H 5N8.

We accept students 7 years old and up.
